The HSVTOL Aircraft System with Adaptive Fluidic Propulsion Solution proposed by Jetoptera, Inc. with Northrop Grumman Corporation has been down-selected for the next phase of the High-Speed Vertical Take Off and Landing (HSVTOL) “Challenge” sponsored by AFWERX. AFWERX is the Air Force's premier innovation program. Through workshops, crowdsourced campaigns, and live events, AFWERX rapidly connects Air Force problems with solution providers in companies of all sizes in the private sector.

Thirty-five solutions were selected out of 218 entries.

The Concept Showcase of the AFWERX HSVTOL will occur next month and it will involve briefings to USAF personnel to discuss each technology solution and how it will support Air Force mission sets and strategies.
